Q. Can you assist us with general visa, tourism
or immigration Questions ? |
|
A. We are only able to assist with Australian Visa applications in the
form of an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority). Unfortunately we are not able to respond
to questions on any other subject. |

Q. Who requires a visa to enter Australia ? |
|
A. Any person travelling to Australia or Norfolk Island that is travelling
on other than an Australian or New Zealand passport. |
|
|
|
Q. What is an ETA ? |
|
A. An ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) is the modern replacement for a
visa stamp in your passport. You apply for it here on the internet and it
is held electronically by the Australian Department of Immigration. All
airlines, Customs and Immigration have access to your Electronic visa. It
is valid for Tourists and Business travellers. |

Q. I think I already have a Visa or ETA, can you
check for me ? |
|
A. Yes! you can use the "Check your
Visa Status" from the top menu, you need to provide the rest of the details as per an
application. A charge of $AUD20 (approx $USD14) will be made for this
service. Remember if you apply with us for an ETA and we find you already
have a valid Visa or ETA you will only be charged the same amount as a
"check current Visa/ETA". |

Q. Do I need to have my airline ticket or travel
arrangements ? |
|
A. No! an ETA is independent of your travel arrangements, as long as you
have a valid passport you can apply here for your ETA. |

Q. Do I still need a Visa stamp in my passport ? |
|
A. No! an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) means you no longer have a
visa stamp in your passport. Your airline will do a simple check to ensure
your ETA is current at check in. |

Q. How much Does an ETA cost ? |
|
A. There is a $AUD20 (approx $US14) service fee per ETA application. This
is a service fee regardless of the outcome of your visa application (99.5%
of valid applications submitted through this site are approved). Urgent
applications are subject to a $AUD20 (approx $US14) surcharge as detailed
on the application, If you are
applying for Electronic Travel Authority (Business - Long Duration) there
is an additional charge of $AUD70 (approx $US50) which is imposed and
charged by the
department of immigration. |

Q. How secure is the information I provide ? |
|
A. All the information you provide is held by the Australian Government in
their Secure online, database to enable instant checking by authorised
authorities only. We retain the information for validity of the visa in
case there is any questions on it. All our staff are vetted and security
cleared at a level authorised to deal with sensitive information. |
|

Q. How Do I pay for the service ? |
|
A. You need to provide your Visa, Mastercard or Eurocard when you lodge
your application. The credit card must be 16digits long. (credit cards
with more or less than 16digits can only be used for card holder present
transactions) and therefore can not be used for this mail/phone charge.
Enter number only, Do Not enter hyphens (-) or any other character. |

Q. What happens if I make a mistake ? |
|
A. You must ensure that you enter all the information exactly as it
appears on your passport. We will send you a copy of the information we
used to apply for the ETA with the authority confirmation. It is your
responsibility to check these details with what you provided and notify us
immediately upon receipt of any errors. If we made the mistake and you
notify us within 72hours then we will re-issue the Visa without additional
service fee. If you made the mistake you will need to submit a new
application with the appropriate fee. |

Q. Who is elegible for an ETA (Electronic Travel
Authority) ? |
|
A. 1) You need to be outside Australia when applying for the visa. |
|
2) You need to have a Mastercard or Visa Credit
Card. |
3) You need to hold a valid passport from one of

Q. I am in a country that is not eligible for an
ETA but I have an ETA eligible passport ? |
|
A. Not a problem as long as your passport is ETA eligible from the list
above and you are outside Australia you can apply here for an ETA. |
|
|

Q. What happens if my ETA is not approved ? |
|
A. In a very small percentage of cases, ETA applications are not approved for a
number of reasons. In this case, we will provide you with contact details for your local
diplomatic office to resolve
the issue and arrange your visa. If you applied for the Business - Long
Duration ETA and it is not approved, the department of immigration charge
($AUD70) will NOT be charged to your credit card.
New Service now available
- we are now able to pursue a declined ETA application on your
behalf in some cases, if we are able to do so, we will advise you by
email. In these cases where your ETA is declined and you wish us to pursue
the application there will be an additional charge of $AUD 40.00 for doing
so, you will be given this option |

Q. How do I apply for an ETA for my Children ? |
|
A. 1) If the children have there own passport, you should apply for a separate
ETA for the child entering all the details from your child's passport |
|
2) If the Child is on a parents passport, you
still need a separate ETA, just apply using the parents passport details,
but use the childs name, date of birth, sex, country of birth as they
appear on the passport. |

Q. I have applied for an ETA through
ausvisa.org and have not received a response ? |
|
A. 1) Did you apply through this site. We are unable to assist you if you
requested the ETA Visa through another provider. |
|
2) If you applied for a standard issue has it
been 72hours (3 days) since you applied. If so submit an enquiry form. |
|
3) If you applied for an urgent issue has it been
24hours (1 day) since you applied. If so submit an enquiry form. |
|
4) Did you put the correct email address? The main
reason we are unable to provide a response is because the email address
people supply is not valid. Or your internet service provider, email server
or your anti-spam or anti-virus software are stopping our email being delivered to you.
We suggest you provide an alternative email address in case your main email
address has problems. If in doubt submit an enquiry with the correct
email address and an alternative or fax number. Charges are NOT refundable
where you do not receive our emails that we have sent, for any reason.
Please note if you have an email server which requires us to login and
validate our email address, we are unable to do so - you should use an email
address without such a block.

5) If you have not received a reply to an email
querying an ETA visa application it is because you are having problems
receiving our emails. We can fax a copy of your ETA Visa application, please
use the "Enquiry" form and you must advise that you wish us to charge the $Aud 10 fax
fee to your credit card. We are unable to fax a copy to you, unless you
advise on the form, you wish to charge the fee to your credit card. |

Please remember the application fee is NOT
refundable once you submit your application you will be charged the
processing fee. Occasionally due to processing
requirements, the application may take longer to process than the indicated
times. |

Q. I Have a problem with the ETA Visa issued by
Ausvisa.org ? |
|
A. 1) If you submitted the correct details and we made a mistake, advise
us of the problem within 72hours of issue and we will re-issue at no additional
charge. |
|
2) If you submitted incorrect details, you need
to apply for a new ETA visa and normal charges will apply. |
|
Q. I want to query the credit card charge that
you have made to my credit card ? |
|
A. 1) Use the enquiry form to submit your question to us before you
contact your credit card company.. |
|
2) Please ensure you note
that the details of this credit card charge for your statement
reconciliation, A query by you to your credit card company as to the
charge we lodge will almost always result in a chargeback even if you only
query the charge. All chargeback's are treated by us as fraudulent
activity as we have provided the service you requested. Any chargeback
will be investigated and be reported as a fraudulent transaction to both
the department of Immigration and the credit card services. This report
will result in possible cancellation of your travel visa, reporting of
your status with worldwide immigration authorities, airline carriers and
may also result in the credit card company recording negative information
on your credit report, we disallow You to buy from our site and create
possible criminal charges that may be filed against you, so think twice
before querying the charge with your credit card company or otherwise
proceeding with a chargeback. |
